Blessing of the Backpacks

On September 8th, we were thrilled to welcome back the children and their families, as we blessed their backpacks and them, as they begin a new school year. 

God of knowledge and wisdom, we pray to you for all schools that they may be lively centres for learning, new discovery...we pray also for our places of work, that our time of labouring may be fruitful and enriching.

O God, bless these backpacks, briefcases, book bags, totes, and the students, teachers and workers who carry them.
